Fellowship

Yesterday we went to the Family Fellowship gathering at the T. family farm. Its been a while since we were there and we enjoyed the time very much.

While we were eating Mr. H. was explaining to us how polarizing sun glass lenses work. It was very interesting! He knows a lot about science. He also was showing Mom how she could look at the lenses of her glasses a certain way and see the brand and her prescription written there.

After eating we all sang some hymns and then Mr. E. shared about a Bible study he is doing with the young men from church. He had them come up and share some of what they've learned through the study. About 10 guys came up, one by one, and spoke. It was encouraging to hear what they had learned and how they were applying it to their lives. Then Mr. E. shared that once you've made a decision for your family that you really feel is from the Lord, not to back down from it. He was especially speaking to the dads but it can apply to everyone. It is easy to get swayed from good convictions by the world we live in, discouragement, and pressure from others.

Mrs. Gjerstad let me hold little Francesca while she had to go do something. :) I don't get to hold little bitty babies very often! She is so cute and snuggly, with lots of brown hair.
