Sunday with the Saints...and a Drive into New Orleans - March 1, 2009

At the reception yesterday, Mr Valenti invited everyone over to his home for church and fellowship the next day (Sunday).

They were planning on having church outside, but the weather was a little too cold for that. So they held church in the gate house.

Mr. Brown spoke on the 9th commandment from the book of Deuteronomy....it gave us a lot to think about.

It was so refreshing to see GREEN plants and flowers!

Noah enjoying the swing. (Here he is showing me how he can swing while laying down.) :)

Mom and Dad really enjoyed visiting with Grandpa and Grandma Brown. They were so nice.

There was a big group of men having a theological discussion in the kitchen!

Flowers!

Leaving friends.... :(

Dad thought that since we were down in southern LA, we should go into New Orleans to see what it was like. We drove over the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway - a 24 mile bridge!

Downtown New Orleans

The roads were so narrow down town that it seemed dark down among the buildings when it was still light out!

A VERY fancy hotel.

On the way back to our hotel we took a different rout.... This picture makes it look like we are going to drive over a drop off!!
