On Friday we ate breakfast, packed up, and headed south...
Looking up at the chandelier at the hotel...I thought it was quite pretty. :)
They had waffle irons and batter so people could make their own waffles. Ana and I enjoyed that.

There was a long section in southern Missouri that looked like a war zone.

Mississippi gets the prize for the nicest welcome centers we have ever been to. This place was beautiful! And the lady working there was so friendly.

...and many flowers outside!

While we traveled, I kept my eye out for alligators but never saw one. I think I am glad...
We ran into heavy rain in the afternoon. It poured for quite a while and I could see a lot of water along the side of the road.
The rains are over!
There are so many pine trees in southern Mississippi. The freeway was lined with them.

In Louisiana at last!!

Even the ducks in the south are friendly!
