The Mysterious Islands

We recently watched this film and thought it was excellent!  It is a documentary/adventure all in one and I would highly recommend it!

Here is part of the description of it from the Vision Forum website:
"Now, for the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th of his seminal work, On the Origin of Species, Doug Phillips leads a team of Christian scientists and investigators to this “ground zero” in the war of the worldviews. Seen through the eyes of 16-year-old Joshua Phillips, who joins his father and noted researchers like Dr.John Morris of the Institute for Creation Research, The Mysterious Islands is the story of one boy’s search for answers to the great controversy of the modern world. It is a refreshing father-and-son adventure that combines cinematically breathtaking footage with high adventure. The quest: to determine whether the Galápagos Islands are a laboratory of evolution, or a testimony to creation."

Hello, Alyssa!

I and my family are friends of the Iocco's, and Mrs. Iocco gave us the address to your blog awhile ago..... I just wanted to say that my family and I were able to watch the Mysterious Islands for the first time at church yesterday, and thought it very good! We especially loved the flashback part to where the son of William Wilberforce was debating Mr. Huxley, and Admiral Fitz-Roy stood up and defended Christianity. It was so amazing how the Lord used the admiral as a testimony against the wiles of Charles Darwin. We would certainly recommend the Mysterious Islands, too!

Thank you for your comment Hannah, I appreciated it! (Mrs. Iocco has mentioned your family a few times.) :)
That is so wonderful that your church showed this film! I thought the flashback part showing the debate was well done too.

I was wondering, do you ladies have a blog?
