"October gave a party...."

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came.
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand.
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

Cute poem and lovely pictures! :-D

Unfortunately, the sunshine hasn't spread a carpet a single day yet this gloomy October here in Ohio... :-S

Do you have leaves on the ground? Ours are just beginning to fall. I've never heard this poem. Thanks for sharing!
