I found this lovely red and white summer dress, c. 1940, while I was looking through some of the listings at Augusta Auctions. More sewing inspiration! :) I don't think it would be too hard to replicate. The 'sleeves' are really unusual though. I wish they had had more views of them...

I absolutely adore this dress!! I love the way the skirt flows and the color and the flattering v-neck, the buttons, and the darling, unusual sleeves! It seems to me a very feminine dress--I LOVE it!
