We girls spent Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon at Andy and Emily's; sewing some clothes for the girls that Emily needed done for a trip, and just helping however we could. They are a really sweet family and we were so glad to be able to spend some time with them all. :)
They have eight children Lydia, Caleb, Elijah, Esther, Sarah, Noah, Daniel, and Thomas.

Thomas :)
They recently moved into a house that they did a lot of remodeling on. I really like the color of the kitchen and these curtains. They are so pretty.
Lydia cut out flannel squares to make a quilt....
..while Amy and Ana and some of the children created amazing structures and a tractor with these things...hmm I can't remember what they are called. They had fun anyway!
Elijah's glasses!
Thomas contemplating all the activity.
Noah 'doing the dishes'. He had a lot of fun!
Daniel's cute smile.

Lydia and I doing the dishes for real! ;)
Emily trying the bodice of a jumper on Sarah.
Ana doing Victory Drill with Esther.
Thomas smiles at Amy. He is such a happy contented baby.
Esther learns how to crack an egg for pudding.
More dishes!
Amy sewing....
...she made these three jumpers.
I don't have a picture of me sewing, but I made the jumper

Making a pot holder.
Someone dropped off some Valentines Day cookies and Esther and Noah enjoyed watching them bake in the oven.
Some of them had little hearts in the middle. So cute!
Sarah waiting for lunch.
Emily making delicious meat loaf sandwiches. :)
Elijah and Esther have matching smiles!
Esther wanted me to take a picture of them again "with their teeth closed."!
We enjoyed our time very much.
Andy took this picture of us girls with Emily and four of the children before Emily took us home.

Dear Alyssa, What a blessing your cheerful industriousness must have been to this family! Thank you for this blog, I have soooo enjoyed the blogs you girls have started! You have such a gift at capturing the simplest things so beautifully in a photo (AND in words). And even making getting lost sound fun! (Rich, was it fun?) I think the quilt tops are so lovely, too. Looking forward to reading more! Love, Mrs. Gunn
Thank you for your encouragement Mrs. Gunn! :)
